| Your Kind Words |
| We all (a group aged from 7 to 73) really enjoyed yesterdays fossil walk. The introductory talk was great and then theres the great advantage of having an expert to take you to the best locations and check over the things you find. So much more effective, satisfying and safer than an unguided walk on the beach or random hammering at the rocks. Everyone in our group found fossils! Great value at a fiver a head, too. Baker family, Oxfordshire, Scheduled Summer group walk Aug 2010 |
| Dear
Chris I just wanted to thank you, albeit somewhat after the event for such a lovely morning on the 8th. We had a brilliant time, me especially and even Alan enjoyed it! You were good fun to be with as well as generous with your knowledge and indeed with the fossils you found. You made a lovely and memorable 40th birthday present. Thank you! Regards, Nicola, Gift Voucher walk April 2010. |
| Hi Chris, Thanks for the excellent walk yesterday. You were brilliant with Niki and Phil & I really enjoyed your company. I attach a couple of photos, which may be of interest. Kindest regards, Chris, Niki and Phil 3 hour walk, Easter 2010 |

Chris Just wanted to say many thanks from Rob & myself for a great afternoon fossil hunting at Charmouth last Monday. Even the weather couldn't spoil the day & Rob is like a school boy - showing off his treasures to workmates! Rebecca and Rob, Adult walk March 2010 |
| Dear
Chris, Many many thanks for a great walk and talk, lots of fossils. Yannik's verdict was 'the best expedition EVER'! and I enjoyed it very much too though we all needed a long lie yesterday and didn't get it! See you with Phoebe (younger sister) sometime! Alison November 2009 |
| Hiya Chris,Just a note to say thanks for Saturday's talk'n'walk. We learnt a lot and had a great time. Problem is that we can't not look where we're going on a beach now!!!!! We did the other side of the beach in the afternoon which was fun, but we did Monmouth beach on Sunday and had a fab time. That shelf of ammonites is amazing and to see some of the ammonites in situ in the rocks, well amazing. Thanks again, Louise, Ede and Lin June 2009 |
| We had a great day and the
kids were thrilled with all they found. I have already told several people what
a great job you did as our fossil guide, you were really great with the kids!

| Thank
you very much for the fossil walk on Sunday. Wayland really enjoyed it to say the least. Thank you very much for being so attentative to him and for imparting so much of your knowledge and enthusiasm. You really made his eleventh birthday a memorable occasion. Alan &Wayland Charmouth and Portland full day October 2008. |
| I
just wanted to say what a fantastic trip we had with you on Saturday, 4 kids and
7 big kids couldn't stop talking about it, showing off their finds and bragging
to friends, neighbours and anyone who would stand still for long enough ! Your talk was fun and informative and your enthusiasm contagious. We'll be back next year, especially if there is a storm, it seems we really benefitted from the bad weather. I will look out for you on the new Channel 4 programme. Thanks so much, it really made our visit to Dorset this year. Rachel, Charmouth private fossil hunt August 2008. |
| "Becky
and I had a super time. Thanks to your expertise, not only did we find some fossils
but also we appreciated the information and commentary. You know your stuff and
where to find it! It was great to spot the Egret and the Oystercatchers too."

| "We wanted to thank you for a fine outing. We made it home safely with all our fossils and rocks. The outing was very memorable and we wanted to share a few of the photos. We enjoyed both Portland and Charmouth portions of the outing. It was an adventure for us, and a highpoint of the trip and if you venture to the US, give us a call." The Kellman Family Charmouth and Portland full day out Thursday 5/4/07 |

| "We very much enjoyed the fossil walk. It felt like a real luxury to be in such a small group especially when we saw the huge groups going out on some other walks. Doing the walk at the start of our holiday set us up really well for safely fossil-hunting on our own for the rest of the week, and we made some exciting (to us anyway) finds that I am sure we would have missed without having had you tell us what to look out for and where. The star-finds were my vertebra (if you hadn't showed us one from your box of examples I am sure I wouldn't have noticed it, let alone known what it was), and Nick's huge two-inch pyritised ammonite. One of the other real plusses was that Nick wasn't really interested in looking for fossils before the holiday, but doing the walk caught his interest, which was nice for both of us. Thanks again Chris, the walk made the holiday." Sally and Nick, Adult Walk on Saturday 07/4/07 |

| "Just
a quick note to say many thanks for the fantastic fossil walk you took me and
my 5-year old son on. We both had a great time and learnt a lot. There was so
much to discover and your knowledge and enthusiasm made it all the more enjoyable.
It really was the highlight of our week in West Dorset." Jon and
William Kirkwood Family fossil hunting walk on Friday 13/4/07 |

| "Thanks again for a fantastic day. My son hasn't stopped talking about it, and has shown all the neighbours his finds from the beach. We will certainly return and be recommending it to all our friends. You really brought it alive for us." Angie and family friends Charmouth and Portland Full day out Saturday 14th April 2007 |
| Chris,
Many thanks for a really interesting two hours when we joined Sunday's
Fossil Walk. Superb value for £5. Ian & Carole Hudson June 07 |
I would just like to thank you for your very informative walk on Fossil hunting. After our time with you we left the Hammer behind and used our eyes. We found countless part ammonites and a few very nice full ones too. We also found some animal bone (checked by you). Our smallest full item is less than 2mm across and the largest was 6cm. Among other finds were the float chamber of a Belemnite and a large shell the size of your hand.. Again many thanks for your time it was the best £5.00 each we have spent for many years. Next stop is Whitby !! Steve Goff and Family, August 2007 |

Carefully chosen itineraries and his lucid interpretation of complex episodes help us to unravel the greatest detective story of all time - the history of the earth's crust."
