Chris was
born and raised in Devon. For much of his childhood he lived on a
farm on the edge of Dartmoor and continues to visit often, despite
living now in Dorset and working on the Jurassic Coast.
Chris studied geology at school in Torquay and at Exeter College.

| He read applied
geology and geography at The University of Plymouth. Chris is Earth
Science Advisor at Dorset County Council, working as part of the World
Heritage Site team. Formally Geological Warden at Charmouth Heritage
Coast Centre, he spent much of his time talking about fossils. However,
Chriss love of Dartmoor, photography and igneous petrology often
takes him back to Dartmoor. |

Often joining
Chris on his travels is his faithful rockhound, Tess!
Tess is a five year old Welsh Border Collie with boundless energy,
She was born in mid Devon on a farm at Nomansland. She loves the wide
open spaces of the moor. If you are coming on a tour you can meet
Tess, although this is optional! |

| Chris is qualified first aider.

Science Teachers Association, Exeter Geological Society & Dorset's Geologists'
