About me Fossil
walks leader 11 years Fossil hunter 36 years Chris was born and raised
in Devon and has been fascinated by geology and the sea since a very young age.Chris
has featured on several television programs . He
graduated from Plymouth in 1986 where he read applied geology and geography. He
has previously worked as an engineering geologist and published Britains
first magazine for fossil collectors and enthusiasts in the 1980s. From
1997 to 2002 he worked as Geological & Senior Warden at Charmouth Heritage
Coast Centre and was a member of the Coastguard. 
From 2002 -2006 he was Earth Science Advisor for the Jurassic Coast World
Heritage Site. He is now self employed with his own business Fossilwalks.
Chris also runs a disco business,
based in Yeovil. Chris has two hobbies a Triumph
Vitesse & Re-enactment/
Jive Dancing. Chris
is married to Fiona who has become
an avid fossil hunter and often helps on walks. They live in Yeovil near the Jurassic
Coast. They also share a love of dancing and it was here that they met at classes
in Exeter. Fiona was for many years an athlete specializing in high jump. They
have a daughter Grace Ellen who is three. Chris is a member
of DIGS.
